Sir James Thynne's Almshouse is a historic charitable foundation that has been providing housing for elderly people in need for over 350 years. Established in 1665, our almshouse continues Sir James Thynne's vision of supporting the elderly in our community.

Located in the beautiful village of Hill Deverill near Warminster, our almshouse provides comfortable accommodation in a peaceful setting. We are committed to maintaining the historical significance of our buildings while ensuring they meet modern standards of comfort and accessibility.
